Special Meeting - Boone County Fiscal Court
The Boone County Fiscal Court will be holding a special meeting to gather public input on potentially exchanging ownership of Hicks Pike (a county-owned road) with Chambers Road (a state-owned road).
This project is now closed for comments.
From time to time, the Boone County Fiscal Court and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will exchange road ownership. Generally, this "swap" will benefit residents by improving safety, expediting construction projects or providing more local control of an area. Currently, the Fiscal Court is considering swapping Hicks Pike (a county-owned road) with Chambers Road (a state-owned road).
Before this decision is made at the county level, the Boone County Judge/Executive and County Commissioners want to hear from the residents that live along these corridors and travel on these roads each day. Please take a few moments to learn about the project, its benefits and how you can share your input.
