Fall Resurfacing
Fall Resurfacing
Several times a year, Boone County evaluates and identifes county-owned streets in unincorporated Boone County that are in need of resurfacing. They work closely with contractors and staff to develop a plan to ensure these streets remain safe and passable for motorists. This Fall, another round of repaving will take place on 24 streets across the county. Learn more about the project and potential impacts to your daily commute.
Project Information
Contract crews will be in various neighborhoods in the coming weeks to resurface several county streets. Work must be finished by November 15. Please keep in mind it can be difficult to provide an exact date on when you may see crews in your neighborhood. Timing can vary greatly based on weather conditions and contractor availability. We'll work to provide you the most up-to-date information here and on social media channels. Please feel free to share this information with neighbors and those in your community.
Please keep in mind:
- All vehicles must be moved off the street before crews begin work. (Crews will post signs at least 24 hours in advance.) Unattended vehicles on streets posted "no parking" could be towed.
- Expect traffic delays. Roads will be down to one lane where crews are working.
- Please follow all traffic pattern changes and signs. A flagger or temporary signal will help move traffic safely and efficiently through work zones.
- Slow down. Keep our workers safe. Slow down in work zones and give them space where possible.
