The Boone County Fiscal Court is considering "swapping" road ownership of Hicks Pike for Chambers Road with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC).

From time to time, the Boone County Fiscal Court and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will exchange road ownership. Generally, this "swap" will benefit residents by improving safety, expediting construction projects or providing more local control of an area. Currently, the Fiscal Court is considering swapping Hicks Pike (a county-owned road) with Chambers Road (a state-owned road).
Before this decision is made at the county level, the Boone County Judge/Executive and County Commissioners want to hear from the residents that live along these corridors and travel on these roads each day. Please take a few moments to learn about the project, its benefits and how you can share your input.
